Covid-19: Further Postponement of SIRC Activities (June 2021)

Dear Members,

Following the announcement of the extension of the State of Emergency in the Tokyo area by the Japanese Government, the club has made the difficult decision to further postpone Club activities. Accordingly, rugby classes on Sundays will be postponed until further notice.

Our Members’ health and safety is top priority, and in light of the express requests from the government to restrict non-essential activities in order to take control of Corona cases throughout the country, we believe it is also the Club’s responsibility to ensure that we play our part in assisting in this process. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

In terms of regular membership fee payments, the following measures will continue to be implemented:

  1. Membership fee subscription will be paused until Club activities resume. The scheduled monthly membership fee payment at the end of May (for membership in June 2021) was not made.
  2. The membership fee payments already made at the end of April 2021 (for membership in May 2021) will be allocated for membership fees in the month that Club activities resume.
  3. We will separately reach out to those Members (a) who have submitted applications to suspend membership, (b) who have unpaid membership fees at this point in time, and (c) who wanted to join SIRC during the suspension.

Should you have any questions, please do feel free to contact us at info[at-mark]shibuyarugby.com.

Kind regards,
SIRC Management
