Covid-19: Further Postponement of SIRC Activities

Following the announcement of the extension of the State of Emergency by the Japanese Government, the club has made the difficult decision to further postpone Club activities.

Accordingly, rugby classes which were scheduled for every Sunday will be postponed until further notice.

Our Members’ health and safety is top priority, and in light of the express requests from the government to restrict non-essential activities in order to take control of Corona cases throughout the country, we believe it is also the Club’s responsibility to ensure that we play our part in assisting in this process.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

In addition, we are considering some informal activities before the official classes resume if we could. We will let you know once it’s been decided.

In terms of membership fee payments, the following measures will continue to be implemented:

  1. Membership fee payments will be temporarily suspended until Club activities resume. This means that the scheduled monthly membership fee payment at the end of this month (for membership in March 2021) will not be made.
  1. The membership fee payments already made at the end of December 2020 (for membership in January 2021) will be allocated for membership fees in the month that Club activities resume.
  1. We will separately reach out to those Members (a) who have submitted applications to suspend membership and (b) those who have fees outstanding at this point in time.
