＜Background to the establishment of the women’s club＞
According to the rules of the Japan Rugby Football Union, mixed gender play is allowed up to the third year of junior high school, but the Shibuya International Rugby Club, in response to the wishes of female players and parents, started a girls-only class from 2022.
＜Available grades＞
The age range for participation is from U8 to U15.
Normally, contact rugby with tackles is introduced from U8, but the Reds class will balance both non-contact and contact rugby.
