With just under 2 years until the Rugby World Cup hits Japan, Shibuya International Rugby Club has been set up in Shibuya (central Tokyo) to help stimulate interest and build excitement among young children for the game.
Our ethos is simple – to encourage children to learn how to play rugby in a fun, enjoyable and safe environment. Using the principles of ‘touch rugby’ the club aims to develop ‘grass roots’ rugby in young players.
The club strives to maintain and foster relationships between young players of different nationalities and cultures, and between parents, many of whom who are actively involved in the club. We also host incoming tours by overseas teams to Tokyo.
