How to apply for a trial

Trial Application
(23 April 2024 Update)

  • Step 1
    Please select the class you wish to trial from the ‘Class’ list.
  • Step 2
    Please select the day you would like to attend as a trial from the days marked ‘Available days’ in the ‘Trial/Enrollment’ column of the ‘Class schedule‘ file.
  • Step 3
    Please see ‘New Member Acceptance Status’ and fill in the ‘Trial Application Form’.
    (If your preferred class is temporarily closed to new members, please fill in the ‘Waiting Registration Form’).
  • After registering the trial application form, you will receive an email with “Detailed information on trial day” at least two days before the registered desired trial date.
  • Information on how to enroll after the trial and how to change the desired trial date will be included in the ‘Detailed information on trial day’ email.

  • On game days, the team will travel to BST Nagasawa Sports Ground, as well as to opponents’ grounds and event venues. The frequency of games is approximately once a month.
  • If you wish to join SIRC temporarily for up to two months while in Japan, please see 4. Others.

Until Junior Samurai Class spots become available you can join Thursday Night Azabudai Touch Rugby Kids Class or SWU Wednesday Rugby Academy. (Exclusive to SIRC Members and players on a waiting list to join the club.)
If you wish to join the Touch Rugby Class or the SWU Wednesday Rugby Academy in the Waiting List Registration Form in the section「Any requests from parents or guardians (if any) 」Can you please write “I would like to participate in Touch Rugby Kids class“, “I would like to participate in Rugby Academy“, or “I would like to participate in Touch Rugby Kids class and Rugby Academy“.  You can also try both of them once for free. After you register, we will notify you by email of the dates you can participate.
Junior Samurai classes are also available for trial or observation only if you wish. However, please understand that you will have to wait for enrollment until a seat becomes available.

4. Other Notes
For other details, see the ‘Rules of Participation‘.

⑴ For those wishing to participate within 3 months

  • Visitor membership is available for temporary participants of less than three months.
  • (If you wish to participate for more than 4 months, please apply using the trial application form for regular members.)
  • If you live outside Japan and wish to join while temporarily in Japan, you can join as a Visitor Member each annual renewal (from 1 April each year to 31 March the following year).
  • Please check the dates marked as ‘Available’ in the ‘Join / Trial’ section of the ‘Class Schedule’ and select the date you wish to join for the first/last time.
  • Please apply using the  ‘Visitor Membership Application Form‘.
  • Membership fees are charged monthly. Further information will be provided on an individual basis depending on the status of your application.

⑵ U13-U15 players who are members of a school rugby club and wish to participate in SIRC as a sub-registrant.

  • Please check the dates marked as ‘Available’ in the ‘Join / Trial’ section of the ‘Class Schedule’ and select the date you wish to join for the first/last time.
  • Please apply using the 「School club member_Trial Application Form
