Following the announcement of the State of Emergency by the Japanese Government last night, and additional directives announced by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the Club has made the difficult decision to postpone Club activities whilst the State of Emergency remains in place.
Accordingly, rugby classes which were scheduled for this Sunday 10 January 2021 through to Sunday 7 February 2021 will be postponed until further notice.
Our Members’ health and safety is top priority, and in light of the express requests from the government to restrict non-essential activities in order to take control of Corona cases throughout the country, we believe it is also the Club’s responsibility to ensure that we play our part in assisting in this process.
The British School in Tokyo — whom we are grateful for use of their grounds — have also implemented restrictions on extra-curricular activities, and we would like to respect their decision in doing so by following suit.
Whilst we are naturally disappointed at this turn of events and not being able to welcome our Members back after the Winter break, we are hopeful that we can resume our activities at the appropriate time so that we can all enjoy playing rugby again with our team mates. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
In terms of membership fee payments, the following measures will be implemented:
