Revised Age Group Classification

SIRC has introduced new age group classifications so that we can play more games against other Japanese teams and to participate in more tournaments in the future.

The new classifications are as follows

  • Super Ninja (4-5 years old) – Non Contact Tag Rugby
  • Ninja (born between 1st April 2011 and 31st March 2013) – Non Contact Tag Rugby
  • Junior Samurai  (born between 1st April 2009 and 31st March 2011) – Tackle rugby
  • Samurai  (born between 1st April 2007 and 31st March 2009) – Tackle rugby
  • Shogun (born between 1st April 2004 and 31st March 2007) – Tackle rugby
  • U18 (born between 1st April 2001 and 31st March 2004) – Tackle rugby

Special Notes

1) Those who prefer to play non-contact (TAG rugby) may stay in the Ninja Group. Please let us know if you wish to do so.

2) Those who belong to “Junior Samurai” need to purchase a head cap and a mouth guard to play contact rugby.  If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact the club.

3) We may form a “Junior Shogun” group who will be a combined team of Samurai and younger Shogun players in order to prepare for some games.

New Time Schedule

There are no big changes however those who have changed from Samurai to Junior Samurai will start at 9 am (rather than 10:30)

Hakone Tour 2019 Invitation

Add 1 day Tour !!

Due to popular demand we will be offering a one day tour Hakone. The 1 day Tour will join the rest of the Club on Sunday 19 May. Details below.

Tour Date

Sunday 19 May

Gather at Shibuya

7:20 a.m. on Sunday 19 May

Cost

Adult : 7,500 yen per person

Child : 5,000 yen per person

  • Includes travel Tokyo/Hakone, lunch
  • Children 3 years and under will be free provided that they are able to sit on the parents lap during the bus trip, and share the parent’s meals. Please complete application form if you wish to join.

Notice

  • Please note that children aged 9 years or under will need to be accompanied by a guardian.

2 day Tour

Plans have been finalised for the SIRC Club trip to Hakone on the weekend of 18/19 May. This year’s trip will be a two day event.

We have hired private buses to travel to and from Hakone.

Seating is limited so we would appreciate if you could advise us as soon as possible if you will be joining for the weekend.

Tour Dates

  • Saturday 18 May to Sunday 19 May

Cost

Adult : 25,000 yen per person

Child : 16,500 yen per person

  • Includes travel Tokyo/Hakone, accommodation, 2x lunch/bbq dinner/breakfast
  • Children 3 years and under will be free provided that they are able to sit on the parents lap during the bus trip, and share the parent’s bed and meals. Please complete application form if you wish to join.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be located at the Seisa Hakone Segokuhara Sports Club.

  • The accommodation itself will be dorm style (4-8 per room) although we will endeavor to provide families with their own room.

How to pay

The SIRC Club will send payment details to you once you have completed the application form. The invoice will be in the form of a credit card invoice from our accounting manager via Square invoicing@messaging.squareup.com.

We will only be accepting credit card payments. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, but we would be grateful for your cooperation in this respect.

Notice
